Adam PW Smith is a freelance photographer based in Vancouver, Canada who specialises in live event photography.

I work almost exclusively with available light to capture images that reflect the artist's intentions and the audience's view of the performance (see Flash Free Photography for more details). This site showcases some of my favourite and recent work.

My work has been seen in newspapers and entertainment weeklies in Canada, the UK, and the USA, as well CD covers, posters, and artist's DVDs and Web sites in Canada and internationally. There is also an ongoing series of public exhibitions entitled "Performance" running in Vancouver.

The five-year daily photoblog project Rock Stock and Two Smoking F-Stops has finished, but the site remains online as a permanent exhibition of the work.

Northern Electric Records Retrospective

My current exhibition is on display at Chapel Arts (304 Dunlevy (between Cordova and E. Hastings) in Vancouver. It's a retrospective of Northern Electric Records artists and is part of the ongoing NE1 event.
